AI Monitoring System for Shoreline Cleanliness

Our shoreline cleanliness monitoring station is an initiative led by Alpha Visionary to safeguard the shoreline environment from marine refuse. It is implemented for Environmental Protection Department.

The objectives of the installation include:

Environmental Protection by mitigating marine pollution of the shoreline.
Surveillance and Monitoring to detect marine refuse accumulation, ensuring early intervention and prompt cleanup efforts.
Public Awareness by raising consciousness about the importance of shoreline preservation and fostering community engagement.

Through the deployment of the monitoring station and AI data analytics, our shoreline cleanliness monitoring station aims to proactively address environmental challenges, promote sustainable practices, and uphold the integrity of our precious shoreline ecosystems.

Privacy Protection

The AI Monitoring Station (AIMS) installed under this Scheme will only capture shoreline areas.

Alpha Visionary shall ensure the implementation of AIMS is in strict compliance with relevant laws of Hong Kong. Taking reference from international practices and the Guidance on CCTV Surveillance Practices issued by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Alpha Visionary shall display conspicuous notices in close proximity to the CCTVs, explicitly informing the public that the CCTVs are in operation.
